The footprint features over 200 auspicious symbols based on Buddhist / Hindu beliefs about Thai Cosmology, Mythology and Royalty arranged around central images of Mount Meru.

There are anamorphic symbols of Singa (lions), birds, snakes and fish, with carvings of Kinaree (half bird half woman) and other Buddhist symbols - temples, hsun-ok (offering bowls), palm leaf fan, conch shell etc.

The footprint has lotus whorls in the toe recesses, a wheel of the law - representing the teachings of Buddha in the centre, and the footprint is encircled by two Naga (snakes).

EVALUATION APPRAISAL: An imposing piece with very strong presence. A very impressive, almost museum quality piece, with stunning workmanship and beautiful detail. Some natural wear and tear but still exceptional.One of the rarest pieces on sale at present.
